Massachusetts RMV Fines and Limits Permit Practice Test
In Massachusetts in 2023, there were 135,410 total reported crashes, including 324 fatal crashes. These fatal crashes involved 17 fatalities aged 16 to 17 (Junior Operators), 31 fatalities aged 17 to 20, and 79 fatalities aged 65 and older. Crash fatalities included 60 pedestrians, 54 motorcyclists, and 10 pedalcyclists.
In Massachusetts in 2022, 28% of the crash fatalities involved a driver operating under the influence (blood alcohol content of 0.08 or greater), and 20% of the crash fatalities involved a driver whose blood alcohol content was 0.15 or greater.

The questions and answers on this test focus on various circumstances that can lead to the loss of your driving privileges: What is the length of license suspension for a Junior Operator who is found guilty of speeding, driving unsupervised, reckless driving, drag racing, or several violations of the Junior Operator’s License restrictions? What is the length of license suspension for an adult driver convicted of leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run) in which someone was injured? What is the length of license suspension for an adult driver convicted of vehicular manslaughter? What is the prison sentence for a first conviction of operating under the influence (OUI)? How many OUI convictions will leave you with a felony criminal record? How many convictions for speeding will cause an adult’s license to be suspended? Finally, what are some non-driving-related offenses that may result in license suspension?
